Commissioners of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority will vote Monday to approve Frank R. Miller as the new executive director of the Hollywood Burbank Airport. If affirmed, Miller will begin his job on Sept. 6. He replaces Dan Feger, who has been executive director since 2008 and has worked for the airport for 30 years. Miller will work for TBI Airport Management Inc., the management firm contracted with the authority for airport operations. TBI is a subsidiary of Airports Worldwide, an airport management company based in Sanford, Fla. Miller previously worked as aviation director for the San Antonio Airport System in San Antonio, Texas; as director for the Pensacola Regional Airport in Pensacola, Fla.; as airport manager for the Walker Field Airport Authority in Grand Junction, Colo.; and for the city and borough of Juneau, Alaska. “Frank’s wealth of experience and aviation knowledge is important for the direction of this airport, especially with the prospect of a replacement terminal,” said Airport Authority President Bill Wiggins in a prepared statement. The Airport Authority wants to build a 14-gate, 355,000-square-foot replacement terminal on 49 acres north of the existing terminal, which was built in 1930. Feger will remain with the airport to oversee the planning of the new terminal.
