JetSuite Opens Burbank-San Jose Route

Private aircraft charter firm JetSuite is adding service to San Jose as part of the JetSuiteX service it operates from Hollywood Burbank Airport. Irvine-based JetSuiteX will begin 12 weekly roundtrip flights to Mineta San José International Airport starting Aug. 15. The introductory one-way fare will be $99 for a limited time; the company did not say what the price will be after that. JetSuiteX began flights from the Burbank airfield in April with roundtrip flights to and from Concord, outside of Oakland, and later added flights to Las Vegas. The service uses Embraer 135 aircraft with seating for up to 30 passengers. JetSuiteX’s model is for passengers to purchase a single seat on the planes or to charter the entire aircraft and receive amenities associated with private jet travel, including private terminals and free Wi-Fi and inflight entertainment. It differs from that of Surf Air, which also flies out of Hollywood Burbank with service to Oakland and San Carlos, which operates on a monthly subscription model.
