JetSuite Charters to Fly From Burbank

Private aircraft charter firm JetSuite will begin service this month between Burbank Bob Hope Airport and the San Francisco area, the company announced Tuesday. The JetSuiteX service starting April 19 will provide charter flights five days a week between Concord, outside of Oakland, and Bob Hope using Embraer 135 aircraft with seating for up to 30 passengers. JetSuite Chief Executive Alex Wilcox said the new service is responding to customer requests for a private jet experience aboard an aircraft with more seats and longer range. “The E135 is the perfect aircraft for a family vacation, group sports trip, or destination wedding, so people can even charter the whole aircraft very cost effectively,” Wilcox said in a prepared statement. The introductory fare will be $109 each way through July; the company did not say what the price will be after that. Irvine-based JetSuiteX’s model is for passengers to purchase a single seat on the planes or to charter the entire aircraft. It differs from that of Surf Air, which also flies out of Bob Hope with service to Oakland and San Carlos, which operates on a monthly subscription model.
