Hollywood Burbank Airport will resume operations from Terminal B starting on July 2. The San Fernando Valley’s only commercial airfield temporarily closed Terminal B on April 10 due to reduced traffic from the COVID-19 outbreak. All departing and arriving flights on Alaska and United airlines, along with the ticket counters, baggage services and Transportation Security Administration screenings will resume at the terminal, the airport said. Additionally, Spirit Airlines ticket counters will remain in Terminal A, but passengers will go through the security screening and board the aircraft from Terminal B. American and Southwest airlines will continue to operate from Terminal A as normal. Delta and JetBlue airlines have temporarily suspended their service until further notice. Also, the airport announced it was reopening its valet parking service. It was closed on March 30 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Passengers who wish to valet park their vehicles when traveling may access the online parking reservation system through the airport’s website or can just drop off their vehicle at the Valet Center. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the valet operator will require that all its drivers wear masks and gloves when handling vehicles, and it will place markers on the ground to remind customers to practice social distancing while waiting for their vehicle or paying the parking fees.
