Activity Increases at Van Nuys Airport in November

 General aviation activity at Van Nuys went up by 14 percent in November, according to statistics released Thursday by Los Angeles World Airports.Including after-hours operations, the number of takeoffs and landings went up 12 percent, to 20,403 operations for November, compared to 18,202 operations in the same month a year earlier.Out of those operations, most were for general aviation with 17,459 takeoffs and landings at Van Nuys during November.Since the start of the year, the airport logged an increase of about 5.4 percent to 213,008 operations versus 202,092 in the same period a year earlier.
