The Lancaster JetHawks has announced that it will be hosting next year’s California League All-Star Game and Festivities at the Hanger. The three-day event hosted by the city of Lancaster and its minor-league baseball team will feature talents from eight other Minor League Baseball teams in California. Some players who have participated in the All-Star Game in the past have become prominent major league players. Players like Carlos Correa (Lancaster 2014) and Cody Bellinger (Rancho Cucamonga 2015) are now playing for major league teams Houston Astros and Los Angeles Dodgers respectively. “This tremendous event will give us the opportunity to showcase the JetHawk organization to the entire league, and we plan to put on an exciting event for the players, fans, sponsors and executives,” said JetHawks Executive Vice President Tom Backemeyer in a statement. The event will be held June 17-19, 2018.
