Westlake Village Inn Joins Cachet

Westlake Village Inn has entered a strategic partnership with Hong Kong-based Cachet Hotel Group, joining an international network of hotels and resorts. The hotel will change its name to Westlake Village Inn – a Cachet Hotel. With the agreement, the boutique stands to gain increased travelers from international destinations in Asia as well as other territories Cachet plans to move into. Financial arrangements of the deal, announced earlier this week, were not disclosed. A company spokeswoman said the partnership has been in the works for a few years, led by hotel owner John Notter. “Mr. Notter has never flagged the property a Hilton or a Hyatt because he did not feel those brands were a good fit,” the spokeswoman told the Business Journal. “But Cachet is a lifestyle brand that is new and cutting-edge.” The 141-room hotel sits on 17 acres just off the 101 freeway. With the agreement, the inn’s Stonehaus Winery will distribute its wine at select Catchet properties in Asia and Mexico. The first locations will include Cachet’s steakhouse restaurant Porterhouse by Laris in Hong Kong and a luxury resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. “I am confident that Cachet’s strong global platform and systems, scaling from Asia to the Americas, will benefit the hotel’s guests and its staff, elevating the property’s experience to an entirely new level,” Notter said in a statement.
