Software Startup Vroozi Names Chairman

Software-as-a-service firm Vroozi Inc. in Sherman Oaks announced Wednesday that it has appointed former software executive Greg Butterfield as chairman of its board of directors. Butterfield founded and led management software company Altiris Inc. in 1998 until it was acquired by Symantec Corp. in 2007. In 2008, he founded SageCreek Partners, a boutique business consultancy based in Provo, Utah. He also served as chief executive of residential solar energy firm Vivint Solar Inc. “Greg’s successful history in growing software, hardware and SaaS-based companies will be a catalyst of Vroozi’s continued growth,” Vroozi Vice President Stephen Olds said in a statement. Vroozi has developed a cloud-based system to simplify ordering supplies or equipment for businesses. The company said that Butterfield was brought on to guide its corporate and go-to-market strategy as it enters its next phase of growth. The company’s user base has increased 132 percent in the last year, and it recently expanded its product with features for expensing and invoicing, Vroozi added.
