ServiceTitan Buys Online Booking Firm

ServiceTitan has acquired Schedule Engine, a provider of online booking for home and commercial services.

The Glendale software developer for tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers said in a release earlier this week that its purchase of Schedule Engine in Lancaster, Penn., will bolster its suite of products and increase investment in Schedule Engine’s technology and products.

“Booking an appointment is one of the most important interactions a service business has with its customers, and the trades industry is already seeing a significant increase in jobs being booked online,” the company said in its release. “Schedule Engine’s technology makes the experience fast, simple, and effective.”

Vincent Payen, chief executive of Schedule Engine, remains with the company and will report directly to Connor Theilmann, who was recently promoted to chief business officer of ServiceTitan.

Ara Mahdessian, chief executive and co-founder of ServiceTitan, said that online scheduling is a “must-have” for any trades business looking to deliver a modern and seamless customer experience.

“Schedule Engine has built by far the most advanced and intuitive solution we’ve seen to date,” Mahdessian said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to partner with Vincent and the Schedule Engine team to advance our mission of equipping contractors with the technology they deserve.”

The Schedule Engine acquisition is the fourth made by ServiceTitan since last year. The others were FieldRoutes, a leading cloud and mobile software as a service provider in the pest control and lawn care industries; Aspire Software, a software provider for commercial landscaping businesses; and ServicePro, a software solution for the pest, lawn, and arbor industries, according to the company release.
