Semtech Corp.’s seventh annual charity golf tournament raised more than $108,000 in donations for Ventura County nonprofits Interface Children & Family Services and Kids & Families Together. Interface provides child services programs in mental health, trauma treatment, abuse prevention, youth crisis intervention and human trafficking. Kids & Families Together serves foster and adoptive families and works with children who have experienced trauma, abuse, neglect or multiple family placements. “It is only through assistance from philanthropic leaders like Semtech that we are able to bring the best guidance and resources to our foster, kinship and adoptive families,” said Sharon Cromartie, vice president of administration at Kinds & Families Together, in a statement. The tournament was held June 14 at Los Robles Golf Course in Thousand Oaks and featured raffles and an awards dinner with a silent auction. Semtech, in Camarillo, is a manufacturer of semiconductors and other specialized technology products. The company’s golf tournament has raised about $400,000 for Ventura County organizations since its inception. “As Semtech has been a member of the Ventura County community for 60 years, it is important for us to give back and be a leader in creating a better tomorrow for those in our community,” said Chief Executive Mohan Maheswaran in a statement.
