Provision Signs Ohio Drugstore Deal

Provision Interactive Technologies announced an agreement to install its 3-D kiosks in a chain of discount drugstores in Ohio. Financial terms of the deal between Provision Interactive in Chatsworth, and Discount Drug Mart in Medina, Ohio, were not disclosed. The agreement represents the next major retail partnership for Provision, which has also placed its kiosks in Rite-Aid stores. The kiosks use holographic 3-D images to apparently make products float in the air to attract shoppers’ attention. Chief Executive Curt Thornton said the deal with Discount Drug further validates the company’s technology platform in the retail setting. “We are excited by the expansion of our retail footprint and by the prospects for meaningful revenue growth resulting from a broader consumer reach across the retail channel,” Thornton said in a statement. Provision Interactive is a subsidiary of Provision Holding Inc., a publicly traded company. Shares in Provision Holding (PVHO) closed down less than 1 cent, or more than 9 percent, to 6 cents on the over-the-counter market.
