Provision Enhances Kiosk Coupons

Provision Interactive Technologies Inc. has released an updated version of software used by its 3D advertising kiosks. The Chatsworth company, a subsidiary of Provision Holding Inc., improved the software with an enhanced interface for consumer loyalty cards. Provision makes sales kiosks in malls and stores. The kiosks use holographic 3D images to apparently make products float in the air to attract shoppers’ attention. If shoppers want to buy the product, they can download digital coupons from the kiosk or print paper ones on the spot. One of the company’s biggest customers is pharmacy chain Rite Aid Corp. Provision Chief Executive Curt Thornton said the upgrade was a long time in coming. “The most exciting feature of this version is the system’s seamless connection to consumers’ loyalty cards,” Thornton said in a prepared statement. “This offers customers quick, easy access to well-targeted offers and coupons.” Provision made the announcement on Wednesday. On Thursday, its shares closed down less than a cent, or more than 3 percent, to 13 cents on the over-the-counter market.
