Asgn Acquires IT Service Company

Asgn Inc. completed on Thursday the acquisition of information technology company Intersys Consulting for $67 million in cash. The Calabasas staffing and technology services company will make Intersys, in Austin, Texas, a part of its Apex Systems division. The deal deepens and expands Asgn’s capabilities by adding Intersys services in data, analytics, digital, search and cloud computing. Asgn Chief Executive Ted Hanson said the acquisition is an important step in the company’s strategic growth plan. “Intersys’ industry expertise combined with (Asgn’s) deep focus on developing longstanding customer relationships, fits well with Asgn’s own mission to provide high-end technology services to accounts in each of the end markets we serve,” Hanson said in a statement. Shares of Asgn closed Friday down 7 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $61.20 on the New York Stock Exchange.
