Interlink Electronics Inc. has named David S. Burnett as chief finance officer for the manufacturing company. In his new role, Burnett leads the financial effort that will allow Interlink, in Westlake Village, to invest in existing products and technologies. Burnett said he was confident in linking the company’s goals to sound financial performance. “I look forward to developing a strong growth strategy around the company’s new and existing technologies, as well as seeking inorganic growth opportunities that exist in this exciting sector,” Burnett said in a prepared statement. Prior to Interlink, Burnett had been vice president and treasurer for EnPro Industries Inc., in Charlotte, N.C., a manufacturer of engineered products, and a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, also in Charlotte. He will receive a base salary of $200,000 and 5,000 shares of Interlink stock, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Interlink makes touchpads and computer mouse products for rugged environments such as oil refineries, automobile assembly lines and machine shops. It also serves the medical device market. Shares closed down 9 cents, or nearly 1 percent, to $11 on the Nasdaq.
