LumaForge, Maker of Jellyfish Post-Production Software, Acquired

Other World Computing Inc. has acquired LumaForge, the developer of the Jellyfish post-production workflow software line.Financial terms of the deal between OWC in Woodstock, Ill. and LumaForge in Burbank were not disclosed.Larry O’Connor, chief executive of OWC, said the acquisition strengthens its enterprise and server storage capabilities and enables an even broader lineup of solutions for video, photographic and music professionals.“Jellyfish and LumaForge customers will continue receiving the support and development, while this trusted technology will flourish and have a whole new level of support and engagement within the OWC family,” O’Connor said in a statement.LumaForge Chief Executive Josh Minney said that OWC’s commitment to solving problems and putting customers first aligns with the values of his company.“The team and technology you’ve depended on are only going to get stronger and more robust in the coming months and years,” Minney said in a statement posted on the company’s website.LumaForge was founded in 2015 and its Jellyfish video workflow products are used by more than 200 video teams around the world, including those at Walt Disney Co., NASA, Sony and WeWork.
