Bel Air Internet Acquires Telecom Provider

Bel Air Internet has acquired Woodland Hills-based commercial internet and telephone provider Polaris, the company announced Tuesday. The Sherman Oaks-based telecommunications provider purchased the family-owned Polaris on Dec. 1 to expand its footprint in the San Fernando Valley and Santa Clarita. The acquisition allows Bel Air to provide internet and phone services to around 25 additional commercial buildings. “This acquisition was a perfect way to expand the portfolio of properties we provide service to,” said Bel Air Internet Chief Executive Terry Koosed in a statement. Bel Air Internet serves 50,000 customers at commercial and residential properties in Southern California and Las Vegas. The company is looking at additional acquisition targets in Southern California. “There are no shortage of customers seeking quality, reliable bandwidth, ” Koosed said. “That fuels our business model as we continue to grow in Los Angeles and beyond.” Bel Air Internet had 79 employees and $12.3 million in revenue in 2016, according to data provided to the Business Journal.
