Chief Executive, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center
Keeler, a veteran health care executive, became chief executive of Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in 2022. Under his leadership, the Burbank hospital was named a Best Regional Hospital by U.S. News & World Report and earned its third consecutive Healthgrades award for Patient Safety Excellence. In 2023 he took on the role of chief executive of the LA-Valley service area and assumed oversight of two additional hospitals: Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills and Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana. Prior to joining Providence, Keeler was president of MercyOne, an Iowa-based joint operation of two major health organizations that owned and managed 43 hospitals with a total of 20,000 employees.
