Chief Executive, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center
Keeler was named chief of Burbank’s Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center a year ago as the pandemic was waning but the toll it took on hospital finances was not. His early priority was to seek support from physicians and employees, fatigued by the Covid-19 surges. He also continues to foster relationships with the local entertainment industry and other business that have long supported the hospital. Keeler has overseen the opening of a new donor-funded $78 million emergency department and the ongoing construction of the Cusumano Family Health Center. He served most recently as president of an Iowa-based joint operation that owns and manages 43 hospitals with a total of 20,000 employees.
