Zbur was elected in November to represent the 51st Assembly District, which includes Universal City. His legislative work focuses on housing and homelessness; combating climate change and protecting the environment, and advancing social justice and LGBTQ+ civil rights. Before his time in the legislature, Zbur was the executive director of Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, for over seven years. Prior to that, he served as senior partner at Latham & Watkins, where he practiced environmental and government law for more than 25 years. Zbur serves on the boards of Planned Parenthood – Los Angeles and the California Environmental Voters Education Fund.
