Supervisor, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors
Supervisor Barger represents the county’s Fifth District, which includes areas in the Antelope, San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys. She began her career as an intern in the office of Supervisor Michael Antonovich, rising through the ranks to the chief deputy position in 2001. She held that title until her election as supervisor in 2016. Her priorities include a focus on improving public safety, homelessness and the county’s mental health infrastructure. Barger serves on the boards of Metrolink and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She’s also known for being one of the most pro-business elected officials in the area.
