Poms operates Poms & Associates, an independent commercial insurance brokerage and risk-management firm based in Woodland Hills. It was founded in 1991. Today, the company has eight offices in four states. The California Joint Powers Insurance Authority is a key client. The company is one of the top 50 privately held brokerage firms in the United States, with annual revenue of more than $50 million. Poms was inducted into Insurance Business America’s 2020 Hall of Fame. In addition to his work at Poms & Associates, Poms serves on the board of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation.
