President and Chief Executive, Woodbury University
Ryan, who became president and CEO of Burbank-based Woodbury University in August, has served as a tenured faculty member, department chair, dean, vice president, provost, and president at several institutions — in addition to being elected twice to the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation Commission, serving the maximum six years. He earned a Ph.D. from UC Santa Barbara, a J.D. from UC Berkeley and holds a post-graduate Diploma in Global Business from Oxford University. Ryan also served as the U.S. Supreme Court Fellow in the chambers of Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and is a member of the Supreme Court Bar, as well as multiple federal and state bars.
