Provision Interactive Unveils Big-Screen Kiosks

Provision Interactive Technologies Inc. has unveiled a new 66-inch tall 3D screen for promotional displays in stores and malls, the company announced Monday. The Chatsworth company, which develops interactive kiosks to encourage in-store sales, will deploy the large screens in retail rollouts later this year. The screens can project 3D holographic images of products, and also have a touchscreen so consumers can get more information about products. The kiosks also have a bar code scanner for consumers to scan their retail loyalty card and receive electronic coupons. “Our 3D Reward Centers provide advertisers a unique way of reaching customers by breaking through the traditional clutter of in-store ads,” Curt Thornton, chief executive of Provision Interactive, said in a statement. “Because the 3D kiosks have such a strong ability to attract consumers and engage them, they are a perfect retail attraction display and customer interface for retail stores, restaurants and shopping centers.” Shares closed up 1 cent or 1.2 percent to 41 cents on the over-the-counter market.
