GA Europe has assumed control inventory of bankrupt Dutch retailer MS Mode Nederland B.V. The company, a unit of B. Riley Financial in Woodland Hills, specializes in retail turnarounds and liquidations. In the case of Nederland, the plan is to close some stores so the company can concentrate on profitable locations. GA Europe will dispose of inventory worth 36 million Euros ($40 million) from 130 Nederland stores. “By assuming control of the operations and implementing a proven restructuring program, GA Europe will provide critical support to MS Mode,” said Tino Bauer, managing director of GA Europe. “Having successfully completed over 25 similar transactions, GA Europe has the experience to not only provide capital quickly, but is also positioned to expertly manage the restart of the business.” B. Riley shares closed Monday up 7 cents or less than a percent to $13.50 on the Nasdaq.
