DineEquity Expands Board With Marketing Expert

DineEquity Inc. on Wednesday appointed marketing executive Lilian Tomovich to its board of directors, increasing the Glendale restaurant group’s governing body from 10 members to 11. Tomovich serves as chief marketing officer and chief experience officer of Las Vegas hospitality giant MGM Resorts International. Prior to joining the company in 2014, she held executive roles at Mastercard Inc., LoyaltyOne Co. and Canadian media firm Rogers Communications. “(Tomovich) brings phenomenal energy, experience and skills in digital marketing, loyalty strategy and guest relationship management,” DineEquity Chief Executive Julia Stewart said in a prepared statement. “Guests are at the heart of our business, and Lili’s perspective will be invaluable as we find new ways to engage them.” DineEquity is the parent company of Applebee’s Grill & Bar and IHOP restaurants. On Thursday shares of DineEquity (DIN) fell 34 cents, or less than a percent, to close at $76.62 on the New York Stock Exchange.
