Bert Boeckmann, chairman and chief executive of Galpin Motors, has become the first person to enter Ford Motor Co.’s Dealership Hall of Fame. Galpin Motors in North Hills owns Galpin Ford, the top-selling Ford dealership in the world by number of vehicles for the last 27 years. Boeckmann has run the dealership for more than 50 years. He was selected from among the 3,000 Ford retailers in the U.S. to receive the honor. Ford created the hall of fame to recognize its top volume dealerships for their exceptional work. On the Business Journal’s annual list of largest auto dealers in the Valley region, Galpin ranked No. 1 last year with revenue of $456 million and 8,784 vehicles sold.
