Van Nuys Icehouse Sells for $2.9 Million

A Van Nuys warehouse that is home to ice manufacturers has sold for $2.9 million (or $202 a square foot) in a deal closed Feb. 21, according to CoStar Group. Van Nuys-based Nm Glcr LP purchased the Class C structure from Arctic Ice Properties LLC. The owners behind Nm Glcr were not disclosed. Located at 14243 Bessemer St., the 14,353 square-foot ice-producing complex is home to two tenants, Canadian-owned company Arctic Glacier Premium Ice Inc. and the Union Ice. The East San Fernando industrial manufacturing building has been around since 1940. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Arctic Glacier is a leading producer, marketer and distributor of high-quality packaged ice to consumers in Canada and the United States, with 45 production plants and 51 distribution facilities throughout North America. The company services more than 75,000 retail accounts.
