Sun Valley Site for 108 Apartments

City of Los Angeles Planning Commission has signed off on developer Shlomi Asiss’ move to construct a mixed-use building in Sun Valley. The contemporary, five-story building would house 108 one- and two-bedroom apartments — including nine earmarked for extremely low-income households. It would offer 2,071 square feet of ground-floor retail space and provide parking for 86 vehicles. Designed by GA Engineering, the stucco-exterior low-riser will boast amenities such as a gym, recreation room and central courtyard. Asiss will partner with general contractor Jasco Enterprise on the project, located south of Lankershim Boulevard and Strathern Street, where Summerland Partners and Hankey Capital have endeavored to create a seven-story, 432-apartment mixed-use complex also featuring a retail component.
