A local tire shop chain has bought a nearly 70,000-square-foot industrial building in Moorpark for $10.2 million. Big Brand Tire and Service, an all-in-one auto repair operation, purchased the industrial site at 14401 Princeton Ave., according to a Blau Journal report. Big Brand Tire plans to relocate its corporate headquarters, which employs about 50 people, from Camarillo to Moorpark. Bennett Robinson of CBRE along with Robert Griffith and Rick Sheckter of Newmark Knight Frank represented the seller, MCA Realty, an Orange County-based real estate investment company. John Ochoa with Lee & Associates represented Big Brand Tire. MCA had acquired the two-story property, which was built in 1993, in November 2017 as part of a 137,465-square-foot, two-building deal for $7.5 million. Prior to the transaction, the real estate firm had renovated the building’s interior spaces, reducing the mezzanine space from 20,000 to 9,000 square feet and adding a truck court and loading dock. Big Brand Tire has 20 locations from the Central Coast to as far south as Canoga Park.
