Universal CityWalk Adds NBC Sports Grill & Brew to Tenant Mix

Universal CityWalk announced Tuesday that NBC Sports Grill & Brew, a sports-dining establishment, will open at the retail center in 2020. Located adjacent to the just-opened Antojitos Cocina Mexicana near the heart of CityWalk in Universal City, the new restaurant will be “designed to reflect the excellence and excitement of NBC Sports’ award-winning coverage, with a fresh take on pub menus and a stellar selection of regional and exclusive draft brews,” according to a CityWalk statement. The venue is promising 100 high-definition TV screens broadcasting sporting events and live-stream sports content. NBC Sports Grill & Brew, which will replace the Tony Roma’s restaurant at the venue, will join a line-up of recently opened restaurants at the urban entertainment center, including Antojitos, which in August replaced Camacho’s Cantina, a Mexican restaurant that closed in September 2018 after a 20-year run. Other new additions are Vivo Italian Kitchen; Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville and Voodoo Doughnut.
