Trojan Storage, a Los Angeles-based self-storage company, has purchased a site in Glendale to build a new storage facility. The company paid $9 million for the 1.9-acre property located at 620 W. Elk Ave. It plans to demolish the existing structure and construct a 220,000-square-foot self-storage business. CBRE Group Inc.’s Emil Gurfinkel and Ken McLeod represented both Trojan and the seller, a private real estate owner, in the deal. “Trojan Storage will now be able to service Glendale, a key Los Angeles market where demand is high for storage space,” Gurfinkel said in a statement. “This deal highlights the desire and forward thinking of self-storage players to meet the needs of residents moving into the newly constructed apartment buildings in the surrounding areas.” The Glendale location marks the company’s second property in the Tri-Cities, joining an existing one in Burbank at 101 E. Linden Ave.
