Chatsworth builder Daniel Bernstein & Associates Inc. has paid $1.1 million for a downtown Phoenix property with plans for infill housing, according to Bisnow. Daniel Bernstein has been building single and multi-family residential projects and custom homes throughout Southern California since 1986. In 2001, the firm established DB Builders Inc. to function as the general contractor on its projects. In recent years, the company has purchased and developed raw land and created homes and apartment buildings for sale. It made the Phoenix purchase through its affiliate Phoenix Partners on Willetta Street LLC. Roger Phillips of Commercial Real Estate Consultants Inc. represented the company in the transaction. Locally, pending Bernstein projects include White Knoll, a 17-single-family-home development in Echo Park; and Court and Colton, 43-unit and 29-unit Westlake apartment buildings, respectively. Bernstein is also constructing Andora Estates, a $4-million, 90-acre property with equestrian amenities in Chatsworth that will be home to up to 43 homes, according to online reports.
