Tutor Perini Corp. has won contracts to manage the building of a residential tower and a retail complex at the Hudson Yards development in New York City, the company announced Tuesday. The Sylmar construction company will get an undisclosed portion of the combined, $1.2 billion value of the contracts. The residential building, called Tower D, is a 70-story, 960,000-square-foot tower with 391 residences, a fitness club and common areas. The building is scheduled to open in 2018. The Retail Complex is a seven-story, 1 million-square-foot center with more than 100 shops. It is also scheduled to open in 2018. Tutor Perini’s contracts are with developers Related Cos. and Oxford Properties Group. Shares closed down 49 cents or 3.2 percent to $14.84 on the New York Stock Exchange.
