Tutor Perini Wins Baltimore Bridge Contract

Tutor Perini Corp. has emerged as the low bidder for a bridge and tunnel project in Baltimore worth $189 million, the company announced Tuesday. The Sylmar construction company will remove and replace a 3,200-foot bridge on the north side of the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel. It will also perform rehabilitation work on the tunnel. The job is expected to start in March 2018 and end in 2021. The Maryland Transportation Authority will formally award the contract before the end of the year, according to the company. Shares of Tutor Perini (TPC) closed Tuesday down 55 cents, or 2 percent, to $26.75 on the New York Stock Exchange.
