Tutor Perini Corp. has won an $80 million design-build contract from the U.S. Air Force to design and construct facilities for the Royal Saudi Air Force. The Sylmar construction firm will build the Khurais Electronic Warfare Range in Saudi Arabia, which will include a range operations facility, living quarters, security facility, maintenance workshop, a mosque and range targets as well as all utilities, parking lots and access roads within the complex. The contract was awarded through the federal Foreign Military Sales program and will be funded by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Architectural and engineering services will be provided by Tetra Tech Inc. in Pasadena. Construction should begin in the spring with completion scheduled for early 2019. Shares of Tutor Perini (TPC) closed Wednesday down $1.10, or 3.7 percent, to $28.85 on the New York Stock Exchange.
