Summit Financial Consultants Inc. of Westlake Village has leased space at Westlake Park Place and has just moved its headquarters there, according to the firm. Summit has taken 6,100 square feet at 3075 Townsgate Road in the office park’s last building to be built, a space which is about 60 percent larger than its former location at 3011 Townsgate Road, according to Neil Elmouchi, Summit’s chief executive. The independent hybrid registered investment advisor firm needs more room due to its merger later last year with Sorensen Wealth Management, also an independent hybrid registered investment advisor firm. Jeff Sorensen, previously chief executive of Sorensen, is now president and senior wealth advisor of Summit. As a result of the merger, Summit grew to 13 employees, Elmouchi said. Mike Foxworthy of Daum Commercial Real Estate Services in Los Angeles represented Summit in the deal, while Foxworthy and Craig Cahow, also of Daum, represented the building’s owner, Denver real estate investment firm Amstar. Summit serves high-net-worth and higher echelon mass-affluent individuals and families. With the merger, the firm now has more than $320 million in brokerage and advisory assets under management.
