Santa Clarita Businesses Grow Footprint

Three companies have grown their footprint in Valencia to accommodate business growth. Accurate Freight Systems is expanding and taking additional space, according to NAI Capital Inc. The local, regional and national transportation company has leased about 52,000 square feet at 29115 Valley View Blvd. within the new IAC Commerce Center, a 116-acre project by International Airport Centers Inc. of Highland Park, Ill. that eventually will bring more than 1 million square feet of industrial space onto the local market. It’s the first building to lease within the new park, according to NAI. Accurate Freight is currently at 28908 Ave Paine, and the company, which also offers warehousing and fulfillment, is expanding and needs the additional space, according to Yair Haimoff, executive managing director for NAI, who brokered the deal on behalf of the company. Elsewhere in Valencia, a more than 25,000-square-foot office building at 25322 Rye Canyon Road sold to Rye Canyon Medical Center for $6.2 million, NAI said, for its potential as medical space. The buyer plans to convert the building, which provides enough parking to qualify as a medical building, into medical space, according to Haimoff, who brokered the sale on behalf of the seller. “Medical space is very tight in the Santa Clarita Valley,” Haimoff explained. “In addition, it sets you apart from general office space, which has substantially more vacancy than medical space.” Also in the Santa Clarita Valley, A.S Aerospace, a division of Sylmar aerospace fastener manufacturer M.S. Aerospace, leased nearly 21,000 square feet of industrial space at 21095 Centre Pointe Parkway in Santa Clarita. Haimoff negotiated the lease deal on behalf of the property owner.
