Public Storage has acquired two new locations in Augusta, Ga., increasing its presence by 50 percent in the market, according to a statement on Friday. The Glendale company now has six facilities in Augusta, which is located about 150 miles east of Atlanta. “These two new locations will be a great complement to the existing properties we have and allow us to continue to find the right unit for our customers at the best possible price,” Nathan Batchelor, senior area manager for Public Storage, said in a statement. The company’s last activity in the Augusta market was in 2013, with the acquisition of four facilities. Shares of Public Storage (PSA) closed Friday down $3.47, or 1.4 percent, to $244.08 on the New York Stock Exchange.
