PS Business Park Hires CFO

PS Business Parks Inc. has appointed Jeffrey Hedges as chief financial officer and secretary effective Sept. 17, the company announced. The Glendale real estate investment trust, which specializes in industrial parks, said Hedges will join the company from Invitation Homes, a publicly traded single-family home rental REIT. Previously, he worked as a senior manager at accounting firm Ernst & Young. “Jeff brings extensive financial, management and strategic experience,” Maria Hawthorne, chief executive officer of PS Business Parks, said in a statement. “This, combined with his extensive leadership and industry background, transaction execution and excellent track record of leading the finance function at a publicly traded REIT, will be a huge asset to the company.” Edward Stokx, the previous chief financial officer, resigned from the position in August 2017. Since then, Hawthorne has supervised the company’s accounting functions. Also, PS Business Parks has promoted Trenton Groves to the position of chief accounting officer, effective Sept. 17. Shares of PS Business Parks closed Tuesday down 92 cents, or a fraction of a percent to $129.38 on the New York Stock Exchange.
