Tutor Perini Names CEO of Gulf Coast Subsidiary

Tutor Perini Corp. has named J. Mark Smith as chief executive of its Gulf Coast subsidiary, Roy Anderson Corp. Smith replaces Roy Anderson III who is retiring from the Gulfport, Miss. general contracting and construction management firm. Leonard Rejcek, chief executive of Sylmar-based Tutor Perini’s building group, said that he looked forward to Smith’s contributions to growing the business in the Gulf Coast region. “Mark brings a wealth of industry experience, client relationships and an outstanding record of success built throughout his more than 30-year career in construction,” Rejcek said in a prepared statement. Prior to joining Tutor Perini, Smith was a senior vice president and general manager at Aecom, in Los Angeles, where he oversaw expansion into Mexico and worked with clients such as Ford Motor Co., General Motors and Anheuser-Busch InBev. He also worked at Yates Construction, in Philadelphia, Miss., on projects for Nissan, Tesla and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Shares in Tutor Perini (TPC) closed Tuesday down 30 cents, or just more than 1 percent, to $27 on the New York Stock Exchange.
