The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley has named Jennifer Vides to its board of governors, the organization announced Wednesday. Vides currently serves as vice president of marketing and communications for PBS SoCal KOCE, the primary Public Broadcasting Service station for the Los Angeles market. Her 20-year public relations career has included management roles at Gymboree Corp., Burson-Marsteller LLC and Hot Topic Inc. as well as the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica. She has been a board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of West San Gabriel Valley since 2014. “I’m deeply committed to the idea that we should provide all children with a safe and enriching environment,” Vides said in a prepared statement. “I’m so honored to have the opportunity to help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley thrive and grow.” The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley, based in Agoura Hills, conducts mentoring and development programs for more than 4,000 youth across seven club facilities. In 2015, the nonprofit reported $3.8 million in revenue and employed 22 full-time staff.
