Santa Clarita Chamber Names CEO

The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has appointed Lois Bauccio as chief executive, the organization announced Friday. Bauccio, a 25-year veteran of business development and nonprofit management, will assume the post Sept. 27. “I’m honored to have been offered this position with the chamber, and look forward to working with the board of directors to advocate for our members,” Bauccio said in a statement. Bauccio has served as the executive director of the Child and Family Center Foundation in Santa Clarita since 2006, where she is credited with increasing the nonprofit’s net proceeds by 71 percent. She was named the Signal Newspaper’s 2016 Woman of the Year and has ranked among the publication’s list of Santa Clarita Valley’s most influential people for the last four years. In 2012, she received an Empowering Hearts Award from the SCV Single Mother’s Outreach in recognition of her community service. “Lois’ experience operating a large nonprofit and her network of relationships within the community makes her the perfect candidate for this role,” Curtis Woods, chairman of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber, said in a statement. “We look forward to benefitting from her vision and leadership.”
