The Ventura County chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners recently appointed its board of directors for the 2019-2020 term, the Moorpark Acorn reports. Board positions include: Lynnette Coverly of Coverly Professional Services as president; Lisa Rule of the Acorn Newspapers as secretary; Kamie Abraham of Sagemark Consulting as membership director; Rose Hayden-Smith of Shine Communications as programs director; and Dawn Dyer of Dyer Sheehan Group Inc. as public policy director. Immediate past president Diane de Mailly, of DDM Metering Systems Inc., will retain a position on the board as well. Marsha Bailey, founder of Women’s Economic Ventures, presented the new board at an event at RELM Wine and Beer Bistro in Camarillo. NAWBO Ventura county was established in 1996, and hosts month meetings and panel discussions, networking activities and other events. As president, Coverly plans to launch a business book club, grow the organization’s mentor program and expand its educational workshops to include community partners, the Acorn reports.
