Leader Exits Boys & Girls Clubs

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Conejo Valley on Monday announced the resignation of Mark Elswick, the organization’s chief executive. Elswick submitted his resignation May 5, citing a desire to pursue new ventures in his career, the nonprofit said. During his nine-year tenure at the organization, the Clubs grew from four clubs with around 1,400 members to nine clubs and more than 4,200 members. “Mark Elswick inspired our organization to provide quality programs focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles … and leadership skills,” Director of Operations Jennifer Wissusik said in a statement. “We appreciate all of (his) efforts and wish him the best in his future endeavors.” The Clubs has retained Los Angeles recruitment firm Korn Ferry to lead the search for a new chief executive. In the meantime, the board has appointed Dean Lesiak as interim chief executive.
