Rebecca Grossman, co-founder and chairwoman of Calabasas-based Grossman Burn Foundation, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter in connection with a fatal crash Tuesday night in Westlake Village. The accident occurred around 7:10 p.m., according to a report from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, killing two children: brothers Mark Iskander, 11, and Jacob Iskander, 8.Six family members were near the intersection of Triunfo Canyon Road and Saddle Mountain Drive, reports said, but the two boys were too far ahead in the marked intersection to be pulled back to safety.Officials at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station are looking into the possibility that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, reports said, and that Rebecca Grossman attempted to leave the scene. She was booked early Wednesday with bail set at $2 million; she was released from custody in the early afternoon on Thursday.Rebecca Grossman is the wife of Dr. Peter Grossman, medical director of Grossman Burn Centers Inc. in West Hills. The foundation she chaired is the philanthropic arm of the burn centers.
