Cal Lutheran No. 9 in U.S. News Ranking

California Lutheran University attained its highest spot ever in the U.S. News 2020 Best Colleges report with a ranking of No. 9 among regional universities in the western United States. The Thousand Oaks school jumped five places higher than its previous best of 14th. The complete list of 113 universities was released Monday. Other Valley area schools on the list of best regional universities included California State University – Channel Islands in Camarillo at No. 43, California State University – Northridge at No. 49 and Woodbury University in Burbank at No. 53. The top regional university in the west was Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. The top regional school in California was California Polytechnic University – San Luis Obispo at No. 4. Among national universities, the top finishers were Princeton University at No. 1, Harvard University at No. 2 and a three-way tie for No. 3 between Columbia University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale University.
