Whittaker Controls Wins Government Contract

North Hollywood-based Whittaker Controls, a unit of Meggitt Aerospace Equipment Group, has announced that it has been selected by the United States government to provide a variety of engineering services for the U.S. Air Force’s C-17 repair facility at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center. The C-17 turnkey repair program is Whittaker’s first “engineering services” type government contract award. The government’s objective is to develop organic depot repair capability for Whittaker’s C-17 isolation and jettison valve at the Oklahoma City site. Whittaker will provide technical recommendations, technical manuals, assembly and test tooling and fixtures, parts kits to support valve overhaul and program management services. The C-17 Globemaster is capable of rapid strategic delivery of troops and all types of cargo to main operating bases or directly to forward bases in the deployment area.
