Pinstripes, an entertainment restaurant concept, signed a lease with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield last month to open a new location at the Westfield Topanga mall next year.Illinois-based Pinstripes Inc., which combines Italian and American cuisine with bowling, bocce and private banquet space, said the lease will be part of the 180,000-square-foot Westfield Topanga expansion. The new building is part of a transformation of the former Sears building in Canoga Park, which is currently under construction as part of the Paris-based mall developer’s plan to bring more upscale dining, retailers and entertainment to the shopping center.“As demand once again increases for places to gather – for business and pleasure – we look forward to introducing concepts like Pinstripes to our premier destinations,” Colin Shaughnessy, executive vice president, U.S. leasing at URW, said in a statement.Westfield Topanga and the company’s adjacent Village currently encompass more than 360 shops, restaurants and personal service providers in 2.1 million square feet of retail space. The entertainment district, which began construction last year, will feature a chef-driven food hall, lounges, cocktail bars and recreational activities.“Our iconic venues feed the souls of our guests, young and old, and are yearned for more than ever in this post-COVID environment,” Dale Schwartz, chief executive of Pinstripes, said in a statement. “We look forward to creating extraordinary, magical connections in these two communities.”Pinstripes currently operates 13 locations across nine states.
