She comes to Compass from developer TruAmerica Multifamily in Los Angeles. … Tarantula Hill Brewing Co. hasn’t held its grand opening yet, but already the first brewpub in Thousand Oaks has amassed more than 160 mostly positive reviews on Yelp. Owner Shawn Moradian said he developed the pub “out of desperation.” He manages a real estate portfolio, and the property – all 22,000 square feet of it – sat vacant for eight years before Moradian decided to use it himself and build a craft brewery. He knew nothing about beer-making, he said, but he did know the area needed a craft brewery.
