 Lori Berson, principal at marketing agency BersonDeanStevens Inc. in Westlake Village, has released a book titled “Ready-Made Marketing – Tactics and Templates for Business Owners, Business Professionals and Independent Contractors.” In Berson’s words, the book is “an easy-to-use resource with over 70 customizable email templates and video scripts, step-by-step instructions for using proven and effective marketing tactics plus over 400 technology resources – all affordably priced, if not free.” … Teledyne Technologies Inc. has promoted JihFen Lei to the position of executive vice president of Teledyne FLIR Defense, the newly acquired imaging company. Teledyne FLIR Defense will take the place of the former Defense Technologies Segment at the Thousand Oaks company. Lei will manage thermal imaging, unmanned systems and intelligent sensing products for defense and public safety clients. Teledyne bought Flir Systems last year for $8 billion. … Greg Willett is the new vice president of research at Institutional Property Advisors, a subsidiary of commercial real estate brokerage Marcus & Millichap Inc. in Calabasas. Previously, he worked 22 years at RealPage Inc., where he served as chief economist for the company’s real estate industry research. “I am committed to offering investors the most powerful insights possible to help them shape their investment plans,” Willet said in a statement. “Partnering with the leading investment sales brokerage in this multifamily research role opens up amazing opportunities.” … MailCon, the email subsidiary of Phonexa in Glendale, held its first-ever standalone conference in Las Vegas earlier this month featuring a performance by rapper Ja Rule. Phonexa sells a system to consolidate calls, leads, clicks and emails to streamline sales. “I’m impressed with how the email marketing community united in support of MailCon’s first-ever standalone conference,” said Lilit Davtyan, chief executive of Phonexa. “It’s great to see that everyone else believes in our companies.” Ja Rule performed at the Marketer’s Ball afterparty.
